Back in the mid-90s, Scotland and the Netherlands were the hubs for a faster, tougher style of rave music that bridged the gap between breakbeat rave and gabber-a style known as 'Bouncy Techno.'

DJ Elmo takes us back to the abrasive but uplifting sound of a thousand Scottish raves with a 3 track EP on 4TCR.

Let's start with the glitchy melodies of 'Bounce To This' reminiscent of 95' Dutch Hardcore and UK Happy Hardcore with a nice switch to Dj Seduction hoovers. Fans of old skool Scott Brown will love this one.

Elmo takes things up a considerable notch with the thumping kicks of 'The Bounce Returns', again with strong Scott Brown & Ultrasonic influences like the super catchy hoover riff that dominates the track throughout.

'XTC Yeah' adds some welcome amen breaks into the mix of thunderous drums. This is the kind of tune Slipmatt and co would have brought back to England back in the days with a friendly blend of early rave hoovers and happy piano.

If you get confused and think you've gone back to 1995 its due to 3 super authentic and absolutely banging tunes by DJ Elmo!
